Turning EV Charging Time into a Clearer Guest Information Moment

Charging stations create a period in which drivers remain near the vehicle or move through the surrounding service area. Clear digital information can use that time to present charging guidance, site notices, nearby services or commercial messages. ZXT LCD completed two white 55-inch portrait freestanding outdoor displays with front-opening doors for a charging station project in the Netherlands. Both units have been shipped.

The project combines a clean white enclosure with a defined front-service direction. This makes the hardware relevant to EV charging station digital signage projects where visual coordination and maintenance planning need to be considered alongside the screen itself. The final content system and charging-platform integration were not provided and are therefore not claimed.

Using Charging Time for Relevant Information

A charging location can communicate more than charger status. Depending on the operator’s software and business model, a portrait display may present safety instructions, site maps, service availability, parking rules, promotions or information about nearby facilities.

The 55-inch vertical format supports poster-style layouts that can be read from a standing position. Content should be concise because users may divide their attention between the screen, the charger and the vehicle. Critical charging or safety instructions should remain visually separate from advertising.

The display should not be described as controlling the charger unless a confirmed integration exists. In this project, it is presented as an outdoor communication device for the charging-station environment.

Why the White Enclosure Matters to the Site

Equipment appearance influences how a charging area is perceived. A white cabinet can coordinate with light-colored charging equipment, architectural finishes or the operator’s visual identity, helping the screen feel like part of the site rather than an unrelated advertising fixture.

Color selection is not only decorative. Surface finish, logo placement and the contrast between the cabinet and screen opening should be confirmed before production so multiple pieces of equipment present a consistent design language.

The photograph confirms the white exterior and portrait freestanding form. It does not confirm a specific coating standard, anti-corrosion grade or environmental protection rating, so those values are not added to the article.

Front-Opening Access Changes the Maintenance Plan

The front-opening door allows service access from the viewing side of the cabinet. This can be valuable where a wall, charger, landscaping or restricted service lane leaves limited room behind the display.

Front access does not eliminate the need for clearance. Technicians still require enough safe space to open the door, support it during service and work without entering a vehicle route. The door swing and maintenance zone should therefore appear on the site plan.

Service teams should also confirm which components can be reached from the front and how power will be isolated before maintenance. The final internal layout must follow the approved product configuration rather than assumptions based only on the exterior door.

Positioning EV Charging Station Digital Signage Outdoors

A charging site combines pedestrians, parked vehicles, moving vehicles and electrical infrastructure. The display position should preserve driver sightlines and accessible routes while avoiding impact zones around parking bays.

Outdoor planning should review sunlight, rain, temperature, drainage, wind exposure and the daily operating schedule. Ground fixing must be designed for the actual foundation and local requirements. Power and network cables should be routed without conflicting with charger cabling or creating trip hazards.

The screen brightness, protection level, operating system and thermal-management method were not confirmed for this order. These items must be selected against the real Dutch site conditions before a similar project enters production.

Inspection and Shipment of the Two Units

For a two-unit project, both displays should still match in enclosure dimensions, white finish, screen position and front-door arrangement. Consistency supports a cleaner site presentation and makes the maintenance procedure easier to repeat.

ZXT LCD checked the display operation, enclosure assembly, door access, visible surfaces and confirmed accessories before export packing. Protective materials were prepared to reduce movement and surface damage during transport.

The two units have been shipped to the Netherlands. This statement confirms dispatch after factory inspection; it does not claim that the displays have already been installed, connected to a content platform or used by charging customers.

Preparing a Similar Charging Station Display Project

Buyers should provide the charger layout, proposed display location, viewing direction, cabinet color, content purpose, operating hours, environmental conditions and required maintenance direction. Foundation, door clearance, electricity, network and responsibilities for content publishing should be confirmed before batch production.
