A Single-Column Display Format Prepared for Bangkok Metro Communication

Public transport environments need information points that can present notices, directions and commercial messages in a clear vertical format. ZXT LCD completed five 55-inch air-cooled portrait displays with a single-column support structure for a metro station project in Thailand. The full batch has been manufactured, inspected and shipped.

The project is built around an outdoor digital information display format rather than a conventional wall-mounted screen. Its independent column supports the display enclosure from below and gives the site team a defined structure to incorporate into the station installation plan. The photograph records factory water testing and structural inspection; it does not claim that the units shown have already been installed in the Thai metro.

A Vertical Information Point for Metro Passenger Routes

Metro stations bring together entrances, exits, transfer paths, waiting areas and commercial zones. A portrait 55-inch screen can accommodate directional layouts, service notices, campaign posters and other vertically organized content without requiring a wide wall surface.

The single-column form creates a focused viewing point while leaving the main enclosure visually separated from the floor. This can help planners position information along a passenger route, but the final location must be checked against sightlines, pedestrian flow, accessibility requirements and emergency routes.

Content and placement remain the responsibility of the operator and project integrator. Before installation, they should confirm local approvals, viewing distance, power access, network routing and the fixing foundation required for the station.

Why the Single-Column Structure Changes Site Planning

A column-supported display transfers the equipment load through a relatively concentrated support and base. The foundation and anchors therefore need to match the real installation surface and local engineering requirements. It should not be described as an easily movable display.

The cable route can be planned through or alongside the support structure according to the confirmed design, helping the completed installation maintain an orderly appearance. Service access must also be preserved so technicians can reach the enclosure without obstructing passenger movement.

For this five-unit batch, the portrait enclosure, column connection and base arrangement followed the confirmed project configuration. Final anchoring and on-site structural acceptance are completed by the installation team.

Air Cooling for the Confirmed Operating Configuration

Displays and electronic components produce heat during operation. The units use an air-cooled enclosure design that circulates air through the planned internal path and moves operating heat away from key components.

Air cooling is one part of thermal management, not a universal guarantee for every climate. Thailand’s ambient temperature, solar exposure, station location and daily operating schedule still need to be considered in the full technical specification. Ventilation areas should remain unobstructed and fans should be included in routine maintenance.

ZXT LCD checked the cooling operation as part of the pre-shipment process. The article does not assign an unconfirmed temperature range, screen brightness or protection rating to the equipment.

Five-Unit Consistency and Pre-Shipment Checks

Although five units are a manageable project batch, consistency still matters. Differences in screen position, column alignment, visible finish or internal cabling could make installation and later maintenance more difficult.

Before shipment, ZXT LCD reviewed display operation, enclosure assembly, air-cooling operation, column and base connections, visible condition and the confirmed accessory list. Packing was prepared to protect the tall enclosures and structural parts during transport.

All five units have been shipped to Thailand. This status confirms dispatch after production and inspection; it does not mean that installation, commissioning or passenger use has already been completed.

Planning a Similar Outdoor Digital Information Display

For a comparable transport project, buyers should provide the country, station area, expected content, screen orientation, operating hours, ambient conditions and exposure to rain or sunlight. Foundation drawings, fixing points, power, network access and maintenance clearance should be coordinated early.

ZXT LCD supports international display projects through configuration review, enclosure production, component integration, inspection and export packing. This Thailand order shows how a single-column outdoor digital information display can be prepared as a dedicated information point for a metro environment without making unsupported claims about the final installation.
